Lots of flowers and choco this year as well (mostly giri from my subordinates LOL), but nothing beat the single red rose from my dad. I love you <3
Neeway, I finished my half@ss inking on my CoL submission. It doesn't look too ugly. ha ha ha Now I'm afraid I'll ruin it with my coloring. orz
A tiny sneak peek.
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. ^3^

To celebrate the end of season 4, I continued with my 'Toshiya through the ages' (though he looks practically the same). I got sleepy toward the end so the adult Toshi came out real bad. ToT
Season 5, come quick!

After a long holiday at the beach where internet access was almost nil, I'm back to the cyberworld. Happy New Year everyone. May it be a good one.
Now to the art, well, it's an ox year and I was at end with ideas. XD;

I need to draw my men more buff ;o;
or just go back to the cutesy ones.

The Ravages of Time fanart, A commission. I had to fish out the manga to re-read Dong Zhuo arc in order to draw this Chibi Lvbu. Needless to say I'm now gaga over him yet again.
I never liked Lvbu until my encountering with ROT. But Chen-xiansheng just brought out the squealing fangirl in me.
Zhaoyun-sama, please find it in your heart to forgive me. Not that I'm not loyal to you. but Lvbu is HOTTTT You must know that I usually can't draw my most favorite chara well, right? right?

My 10 year project is more or less done. *dances* 2,000+ titles, 7,500ish volumes, plus 1,000+ magazine issues are what we (me and siblings) have crazily accumulated within the past 20+ years. They have survived the MCDs (Manga Collector's Disastors, i.e. thiefs (sometimes known as dormmates/housemates), mysteriously lost during relocations, flood, termite, fungi, mom!)
*applause*

A request by Fwosh. Her chara looked 17-18 in the reference. But in my version, for some mysterious reason, he appeared like he barely left primary school.

My youngest brother found a job! No, it's only been a month since he finished his study but the thing is, we didn't really believe that he'll be able to land himself an okay job without my father's help. But the baby of our family proved himself. I'm happy for him.
Now I hope he'll stick with it and not quitting before the probation period ends. XD

I think it's coming back now... or at least changed in the way that I'm ok with it. So the daily doodle post shall end and from now on I'll post the pic that seems presentable only.
No I'm not going to stop updating. I don't want my first page displaying 2006-2009 entries in one page. =_="
Now onto the present entry.
While finding a subject to draw, I came across a contest on Gaia. What amused me was that among a dozen chara available in the thread, there was one chara no one ever submitted an entry and the prize is good! Because he is, perhaps, ahem... bald?
Anyway, I've decided to make him my new subject.

I always like my pic better before coloring. *flailll*
and since I worked on this on laptop (as always), friends with regular monitor, tell me which one makes you want to poke your eyes less. This or this? (Links instead of pictures because the files are huge. gomen.)
I need a desktop but my tiny work/vanity desk has no more space. Maybe if I get rid off TV....
Nahhh!

( almost finished... )
It started as if freedom... and ended with heap of works and meetings.
Looks like this will never be finished.

Megane Danshi = young man who wear glasses.
( moe factors under cut... )
My friend's request. A 30-something Megane-danshi in business suit.
Megane + Suit = Chihaya dying. (from both moe-factors and drawing)
I wish I could make the picture more interesting but I can't afford to be extravagant with time to experiment with poses. and the subject is... gahh grown-up man and suit! *dies*
Hell, I didn't even do the shading. It'll remain WIP until I feel like picking it up again. Or... even better, anyone would color it...? pwleese =3
c&c welcome too~
@ Mai > I'll try! fighto!
@ Agnes > *glomps* Ah the tradition sounds interesting! A forest walk XDDD! I imagine there would be quite a brawl down the stream if the girl is a beauty, eh?

Because yesterday was Loykratong day. For non-Thai fellows, Loykratong is a festival in Thailand when you put lotus-shaped floats made of banana leaves (or in modern day, environmental-friendly bread ^^;)
in the river/sea/lake and let the current carries them away. (more info)
I went out last night on the way back home. Just like every year, the riverbanks were very crowded. We drove on and yes, the beach was also full of people as well. But the fireworks were awesome. We ended up doing it (float the floats, duh~) at a pond near a small temple.
For those who are curious what a typical yet quite fancy Loy kratong day looks like. Watch it on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J05U2oeAN
For hundreds of years, Loy kratong creates a great acuse for boys and girls to get together at night. Crudely put, my friend called it "Losing virginity day". +_+"

In case you haven't known, I've been trying DESPERATELY to go back to drawing.
So here I vowed to myself I'll draw everyday even for 15 mintues, or... a stick figure. (let's pray it won't come to that!) And I shall post the result everyday I have an internet access.
Let begin with the doodle I did during the meeting break last week.

Mai> *grabs Mai's leg* Yes, please, you know I rely my next doze for Oofuri on you!!
Now that I'm back home, I started to ponder the ramification of my trip.
Mandarin:
Now able to speak Mandarin on a surviving level... enough to travel solo at least (go me!). And since I look very Chinese, with my accent, I could pass as a Southern Chinese girl. I can now read manga in Chinese, at a snail-like rate I can understand 70-80% depending on how complicated it is. I did finish 10 books of a simple romance shoujo series in 2 weeks *is proud*

Travel:
Didn't achieve my original plan... exploring Tibet and Xinjiang, because of, you know, the politics. I've been to other small places though. And as for my big good-bye trip, I skimmed along the first bit of the silk road, starting from Xi'an (China's first capital) all the way to Dunhuang (the last oasis before leaving the ancient China border), then leapt back to Hebei, gone gaga over on Beijing's extreme makeover for the Olympics, before trekking north to Inner Mongolia, and lastly hobbled back to Dalian from the half-a-month journey, with 2-tone-chocolate skin (yes, I was a moron for forgoing sunblock).
Life+Works:
I learned more about people (I guess you always learn something new), especially working+making friends with genuine Chinese people (not those who worked aboard)... I must say, opened my eyes to another level O_O China and its people really is incredibly interesting indeed.
Art:
Lotsa free time to draw but my muse had flied out of the window (come back muse!!) ha ha ha the irony ToT
Anyway, it was a fun experience... bordering weird from time to time.
I'll be less frequent on msn next week. My Japanese friend who I met in China is coming over for a visit. My last escape before I officially start working. >o<
Ciao~
more later.
C&C are welcome.
Btw, should anyone be interested in proof reading / translating any of the future projects, please email me at blankpapers at yahoo dot com.
